PUBLIC HIGH SALARY WORKERS IN BRAZIL CAN WORTH Billions Rupiah per month.

 

There is a unique phenomenon in the field of kepegawaain government in Brazil. Some positions of government officials, reportedly received a staggering amount of salary. A judge even receiving salaries up to USD361, 500 or approximately Rp 3, 4 billion (Rp9.665 per USD) per month.

When public workers in Europe and the United States (U.S.) was forced to accept the fact their salaries cut or even fired, some public workers in Brazil just the opposite. High salaries they receive even the envy of most other Brazilian citizens.

For example, a clerk at the court in Brasilia received a salary of up to USD226 thousand, or approximately Rp2, 5 billion per month. While there was a technician at the highway department Sao Paulo receives a salary of USD263 thousand, or approximately Rp2, 5 billion per year. Salary is greater than the salary received by the President of Brazil.

Then unisex 168 public workers in Sao Paulo which reached USD12 thousand, or approximately Rp115, 9 million to Rp25 thousand, or approximately Rp241, 6 million, per month. Most of the workers were served as a financial auditor in court. The amount is much bigger salary received by the mayor of Sao Paulo.

Astonishing amount also came from Sao Paulo. A local judge might even get a salary higher than the Chairman of the Supreme Court of Brazil. A judge in Sau Paulo rumored to receive a salary up to USD361, 500 or approximately Rp 3, 4 M each month. So reported The Washington Post, Monday (11/02/2013).

But the salary is not determined on the average to other professions. When thousands of public employees get such a high salary, in other parts of Brazil earned salaries of public employees are not exactly the same.

Salary received by teachers and police officers reportedly received a salary of not more than approximately USD1.000 or approximately Rp9, 6 million per month or even less. This raises concerns of teachers and the police will not work well with such a salary.

Some blame the party in Brazil as the former colonial power Portugal who colonized Brazil. Portugal is considered a strong system of public bureaucracy. It is also influenced by China and set salaries enormous, for some groups of workers. But some residents furious with the privileges held by public workers. They continue to fight to keep the balance of salaries of public workers in some professions.
