Scotland is famous for its legend than Nessie, the Lochness monster in the lake, also has saga full of mystery, the town of Brigadoon. Reportedly, the city is only appears for 1 day in 100 years.
The small town is located in the highlands of bonny Scotland. Narrated, Brigadoon suddenly disappeared in the year 1754. Surprisingly, people in this town seems to be a long life, because each appears only once a century, they just grow old one day.
They slept for 100 years - in a matter Brigadon population, such as night time only. Can guess, if someone living in Brigadoon died at the age of 70 years means it lives for 25 thousand centuries!
Anyone who is lucky enough to enter on the day of its appearance Brigadoon will feel so happy, as if into the garden paradise. Unfortunately, it can only live one day as the village was re-covered in mist and disappeared.
There is a developing story and believed to be evidence of the existence of Brigadoon. One time there were two shepherds were looking for their cattle in the highlands of Scotland. Suddenly they felt a sunny day, the sun was shining beautifully. Though it is always foggy plains every day.
While enjoying the sun, the goat pasture they just showed up. Two of these shepherds became increasingly amazed. On one side of the valley, they saw a small town with a picturesque streets like in painting.
They also turns up their own villages to tell people. When the villagers ran after the two shepherds, the fog came back and swallow Brigadoon back.
In 1954, the story of Brigadoon myth was adapted in a musical film of the same title that is Brigadoon. Now, once every 100 years to the day with the Brigadoon memorial parade and dance.
