God created all creatures on earth with its advantages and disadvantages, and all things created properly. When people only understand here only then human knowledge will not grow, but when science can not find a logical explanation of an event then let the return to God and man can be grateful that the event is evidence of the existence of God. Scientists from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks to try to find answers to how the process and the evolution of vertebrate breathing creatures (vertebrates), including humans. The following information their research results:

Scientists from the University of Alaska in Fairbanks works reveal the evolution or origin of vertebrates, including humans, to be able to have the ability to breathe. The research results presented at the Society for Neuroscience annual meeting on Wednesday (17/10/2012) today in New Orleans, USA.

Michael Harris, led the research team, explained, "To breathe with the lungs, you need more than just the lungs. You need to mesh the sensitive nerves of carbon dioxide." According to Harris, neural network that is what makes humans or other vertebrates capable of inhaling the oxygen which is then converted by the cells into energy and produce carbon dioxide as metabolic waste.

The process of evolution of human breathing ability and other vertebrates is related to the development of a sensitive nerve mesh carbon dioxide, a by Harris called "rhythm generator". In his research, Harris tried to find the origin of the rhythm generator. It believes that the ability to breathe is not derived from animals who already have lung but that has rhythm generator. "We tried to examine the living example of the animals who do not breathe, like lamprey and tried to see evidence iramna generator that can do besides breathing activity," Harris said as quoted by Science Daily, Tuesday (16/10/2012).

Lamprey is a type of primitive fish. Fauna is not got no lungs and breathe with the same mechanism of vertebrates. As larvae, living in mud lamprey. Meanwhile, oxygen and food obtained by pumping water into the body. Lamprey have similar behavior coughing, to clear away the mud. Behavior is managed by the central rhythm generator in the brain. "We think that cough in lamprey behavior similar to breathing in amphibians," said Harris.

"When we take lamprey brain and measure respiratory-related neural activity, we found a pattern that shows activity and respiratory rhythm generator that is sensitive to carbon dioxide," continued Harris.

Evolution runs to the ability to breathe then owned by the fish. In its development, evolution happens that show land animals, including amphibians, reptiles and mammals. Ability to breathe even continue to evolve suitable environment encountered. Ability of humans breathe today is inseparable from the long process behind it.
