THINGS THAT MAKE THIS THING IN INDONESIA prominent 2012

What makes Indonesia to say "wow"? One is the discovery, innovation, or the involvement of Indonesian scientists in the study whose results are recognized internationally. In 2012, some scientists Indonesia successfully delivered the best in science. At least, there are four discovery, innovation, and the involvement of Indonesian scientists are proud of. What is it?

The findings of the Solar System's OldestIndonesia astronomer who had worked more than 10 years at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Heidelberg, Germany, Johny Setiawan, discovered the oldest solar system, 12.8 billion years old, only 900 million years younger than the Big Bang. Parent solar system is a star called HIP 11952 or Sannatana (Sanskrit, meaning ancient). The solar system is known to have two planets, each named HIP HIP 11 952 11 952 b and c. Both planets are giant gas planets kind.
The solar system can be said to be an anomaly. Metal content in the parent star's solar system is only 1 percent of the metal content of the Sun. The assumption so far only stars with high metal content that could have planets. These findings suggest planets orbiting metal poor stars may be common.

Asia's Biggest UAV Successfully Fly Premium
UAV largest in Asia, Josaphat Laboratory Large Scale Experimental Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (JX-1), successfully developed by scientists Indonesia, Sri Sumantyo Tetuko Josaphat. Development is done in Josaphat Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory (JMRSL), Chiba University, Japan. JX-1 has an advantage because the size of 6 feet and had a sensor payload up to 30 kg. Great room on the UAV is prepared to accommodate a variety of sensors. JX-1 is also superior because it is designed with a microwave transparent material characteristic of the fuselage near the air.
This UAV was flown successfully premiered on June 7, 2012 at Fujikawa Airfield. This UAV will become the backbone of remote sensing research. Malaysia and Japan are interested in this technology.

Scientists Indonesia Chasing the God Particle
One of the biggest jump in particle physics in 2012 was the discovery of particles that are "similar" Higgs Boson (God particle). The discovery by the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) announced on July 4, 2012 in Geneva, Switzerland. Scientists Indonesia, Suharyo Sumowidagdo, was also involved in the hunt for the Higgs Boson. He was involved in the operation and maintenance of the muon detector at the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS), one of the CERN experiment to prove the existence of the Higgs Boson.
Haryo is one of a handful of physicists Indonesia who pursue experimental physics. Others with theoretical physics, experimental physics trying to find the existence of a particle that has been formulated in a theory.

Baby Sumatran rhino "Andatu" Born
Indonesia have achievements in breeding Sumatran rhinos in 2012. Sumatran rhino named Andatu finally born male rhino family home Cincinati Zoo, Andalas and female Sumatran rhinoceros in Lampung, the Queen.
Sumatran rhino breeding success the world has been waiting for over 124 years. Rhinos Andalas will then be mated again with two other female rhino. Javan rhino conservation success awaited further.

Indonesia Population Ancestors Madagascar
Murray Coz study results from Massey University in New Zealand revealed that Indonesian women are the ancestors of Madagascar. The study, published in the journal Proceedings of the Royal Society B, March 21, 2012. Conclusions derived based on the study of DNA of 2,745 people from 12 islands of Indonesia and 266 Malagasy ethnicity. Data from the Eijkman Institute for Molecular Biology in Indonesia contributed to this study.
For a long time, Indonesia allegedly had relationship with Madagascar. In terms of language, a language similar to the language of Madagascar Dayak Ma'anyan. This finding makes the process of colonization of Madagascar needs to be rethought.
